Basically, we encode only messages that follows NDEF protocol. NDEF is a standardized data format defined by the NFC Forum so that all NFC devices can exchange messages.
We recommend to make a tag read-only by locking it if you plan to make it public. If the tag is not locked, anybody with a NFC device can change the content. A locked tag cannot be unlocked.
The lead time depends on the tag quantity. Typically, for less than 500 tags, it will take about 1 to 2 days.
